yesterday, mike and i ran the salt lake city marathon with a few thousand friends. the starting line was electric and there were crowds gathered to cheer us on (my favorite was a sign that read "Go (insert name here)!" throughout the course. we both hit "the wall" at different times, but we still managed to finish and have fun!
after 26.2 miles, we're all smiles with my running partner, danelle, and mike's brother, dave. (that's my medal for 1st place--i'm totally kidding)
hollie and the kidlins were an awesome sight at the finish line! she even watched our kids while we ran from the U of U, down to 6200 S, and back to the Gateway. it took us about 4.5 hours (about 2 hours longer than the winners, WOW!)

Way to go! I haven't yet gotten the desire to do a marathon, but my old running partner always said it was just a matter of time. We'll see. :) I think your time is great! You look awesome for having just run a marathon. Congratulations!
Dude. I was there too. My family and I did the half though. We are planning on doing a full one in Vegas in december for my sister's 30th birthday! Good job!
